Shanghe Concrete Mixer

CM Series Concrete Mixer for small to medium projects, featuring electric or gasoline engines, reclaiming capacity, and durable construction for roads, bridges, and general use.
The CM series of concrete mixers are engineered for reliable, day-to-day performance on active construction sites. Their design prioritizes durability and user-friendly operation, built around a heavy-duty steel drum and a reinforced chassis to withstand rigorous use. Key characteristics include straightforward mechanical controls for ease of use and a portable structure, often with integrated wheels, making them a practical and hardy choice for a wide range of small to medium-scale projects.
Advantages
1. Lightweight & Highly Portable
Weighing under 80kg and equipped with integrated wheels, CM mixers are exceptionally easy to maneuver and transport, making them ideal for home projects, small job sites, and crews with limited equipment.
2. Efficient & Consistent Mixing
Engineered with an optimized drum speed and adequate motor power, the series ensures a thorough, homogeneous mix in minutes, contributing to reliable concrete quality for every batch.
3. Durable, Job-Site Ready Construction
Built with a thick steel drum and a reinforced frame, these mixers are robust enough to handle regular use with abrasive materials, ensuring longevity and dependable performance.
4. User-Friendly Operation
Designed for simplicity, features such as a hand-controlled pouring mechanism and an open-drum design facilitate easy operation, precise pouring, and straightforward cleaning after use.
5. Cost-Effective to Run
Standard models operate on energy-efficient, single-phase electric motors that plug into common household power sources, minimizing energy costs and setup complexity.
6. Adaptable to Project Needs
Available in a range of capacities, the series allows users to select the perfect size for their specific task, from small repairs to more substantial building work.
7. Low Maintenance Design
A straightforward mechanical design ensures maintenance is simple, with easy access to components and readily available spare parts to minimize downtime.
8. On-Demand Mixing Flexibility
Providing the freedom to mix concrete exactly when and where it’s needed, these mixers allow for complete control over mix ratios and eliminate dependence on scheduled ready-mix deliveries.
Application
1. Residential & Small-Scale Construction
This is the core application for portable CM models (typically 80L-350L capacity), offering a practical solution for localized, high-quality mixing.
- Home Renovation & DIY: Perfect for tasks like building garden walls, repairing driveways, laying patio slabs, and securing fence posts.
- Small Structural Work: Suitable for pouring concrete foundations for sheds, garages, or home extensions.
- Interior Projects: Electric-powered models enable safe indoor use for mixing mortar for flooring, tiling, or plastering, eliminating fumes.
2. Civil & Infrastructure Maintenance
Professional-grade CM mixers are built for durability in municipal and contracting work, providing an efficient alternative to large transit mixers.
- Public Works Repair: Ideal for “spot pours” in sidewalk, curb, and road pothole repairs where small, precise batches are required.
- Masonry & Bricklaying: Commonly used to mix mortar, grout, and stucco directly on-site, supporting masonry crews.
3. Specialized Industrial & Material Processing
Beyond wet concrete, the robust design of CM mixers makes them suitable for processing various dry and semi-dry materials.
- Industrial Mixing: Used in settings such as powder coating facilities to blend masterbatches, toners, and PVC compounds.
- Agricultural Processing: Employed on farms for homogenizing animal feed, seeds, fertilizers, or soil amendments.
- Specialized Construction Materials: Adapted for mixing fireproofing compounds, insulation slurries, and other specialized building materials.
Working Principle
- Gravity Mixing (Tumbling Action): The core mixing action is powered by the rotation of the drum. As it turns, fixed internal blades lift the sand, gravel, cement, and water upward. Upon reaching a certain height, the materials fall freely back to the bottom under gravity. This continuous cycle of lifting and tumbling ensures thorough and homogeneous blending.
- Optimized Drum Rotation: The drum rotates at a constant, moderate speed—typically between 28 and 30 RPM. This speed is calibrated to provide sufficient centrifugal force to lift the materials effectively, while still allowing them to cascade back down to maximize the mixing action.
- Tilting Drum Design: A defining feature of the CM series is its tilting mechanism. During the mixing cycle, the drum is secured at a specific angle (often around 60 degrees). This angle optimizes the material’s travel path inside the drum, enhancing the tumbling effect for a more consistent mix.
- Manual Discharge: Discharge is a simple, manual operation. Once mixing is complete, the operator tilts the entire drum downward using a handwheel or lever. The rotation continues, allowing the internal blades to guide the finished concrete smoothly out of the drum opening and into a wheelbarrow or directly onto the worksite.
Key Operational Components
| Component | Function |
|---|---|
| Electric Motor | Provides the consistent power and torque required to rotate the loaded steel drum. |
| Internal Mixing Blades | Fixed, angled blades welded inside the drum that lift and tumble the materials during rotation. |
| Transmission System | A gear ring or belt drive system that transfers power from the motor to the drum, maintaining the optimal rotational speed. |
| Tilting Mechanism | A handwheel or lever system that allows the operator to set the drum at the mixing angle and then lower it for discharge. |
| Support Frame with Wheels | A sturdy, welded frame that provides stability during operation and includes wheels for easy portability around the job site. |
